Six Republican presidential candidates along with House Speaker Paul Ryan will be in Columbia in early January to discuss poverty solutions and ideas in the GOP field.

The Jack Kemp Foundation on Monday confirmed that in addition to Ryan, R-Wis., and U.S. Sen. Tim Scott hosting the event, confirmed attendees include former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, business leader Carly Fiorina, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
