Join the Economic Innovation Group (EIG) on Wednesday, May 5, for an overview of Opportunity Zone (OZ) investment activity occurring outside of major cities, in rural and gateway communities.

More than 60 percent of OZs are located outside of high-density metropolitans, providing ample opportunity for investment in rural and gateway communities. In fact, approximately half of all OZ investments in early-stage and growth businesses tracked on EIG’s OZ Activity Map have been made in rural areas. Guest speakers will discuss their strategies for investing in these markets, and provide examples of how OZ financing has been catalytic in jump starting economic development, revitalizing historic buildings, and supporting local businesses.
