Join the Economic Innovation Group on Wednesday, November 9, to learn about strategies for attracting Opportunity Zones (OZ) investments to rural and emerging communities.
The Sorenson Impact Center recently released a revision of its Rural Opportunity Zone and Recovery Playbook, which offers a “new blueprint to attract private investment for community priorities,” and highlights examples in which local leaders have band together to attract OZ investment to communities located outside of major metropolitan cities. The playbook demonstrates how OZ equity can be layered with other sources of public and private financing to advance priority projects and catalyze economic growth in rural and emerging markets that have historically been overlooked by investors. New sources of federal funding could be leveraged to increase capital flow to these communities, including funding proposed through the Opportunity Zones Transparency, Extension, and Improvement Act’s State and Community Dynamism Fund.
During this webinar, speakers will discuss what it takes to assemble investment opportunities and drive OZ equity to rural and emerging markets. Speakers will also share insights on factors that influence investors’ decision-making and the types of support that are needed to increase the amount of capital flowing to these communities.
Join us November 9, 2022, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET
