Join the Economic Innovation Group on Tuesday, September 13 to learn more about ongoing efforts to provide local leaders with the support they need to advance community and economic development in Opportunity Zones (OZs).
When the OZ policy was enacted in 2017, Community Development Financial Institutions, nonprofit organizations, and local government agencies across the nation launched initiatives to educate and support community leaders, developers, investors, and business owners who were interested in leveraging this new financing tool. Over the past four years, the landscape for community and economic development has evolved as a result of pandemic recovery efforts, increased interest in place-based investing, and historic levels of federal funding targeted to small businesses, emerging markets, and underserved communities. This shift coupled with the continued growth of the OZ investment marketplace necessitate ongoing capacity building and technical assistance efforts to help drive OZ capital to high-impact deals in the most distressed communities.
During this webinar, speakers will share information about lessons learned to-date, and how to model a capacity building and technical assistance initiative for OZ stakeholders.
Join us September 13, 2022, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET
