Jennifer “DJ” Nordquist

Executive Vice President

DJ Nordquist brings 30 years of experience in public policy, research, and governance to EIG as Executive Vice President. In addition to her role at EIG, she also serves on public, private, and non-profit boards.

DJ serves as a Fellow at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business; is a Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies; is an Advisory Board Member at Clearpath; and is an Adviser to the Special Competitive Studies Project. In the private sector, she is an Independent Director of Sunlight Financial and serves on the Advisory Board of Big Sun Holdings.

In 2019, the United States Senate unanimously confirmed her to represent United States on the Board of Directors of the World Bank Group, where she focused on accountability, COVID-19 response and information and communication technologies safeguards.

From 2017-2019, DJ served as the Chief of Staff for the Council of Economic Advisers in the White House. Previously, she was Chief of Staff for the Economic Studies program at the Brookings Institution, Assistant Secretary at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Senior Advisor in the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Gulf Coast Rebuilding, Deputy Chief of Staff at the FDIC, and Deputy Assistant Secretary at the US Department of Education.

Earlier in her career, DJ worked in the private sector overseas, at think tanks and on Capitol Hill.  She holds a BA from Stanford University and an MS from Northwestern University. She received the Distinguished Service Award from US Department of the Treasury and was named Stanford Associate by the Board of Governors.  She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is on the board of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum.
