DJ Nordquist

DJ brings years of experience in public policy, research, and governance to EIG. In addition to her role at EIG, she also serves on public, private, government and non-profit boards, serving as an Advisory Board Member at Clearpath; Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies; Economic Advisor at the Special Competitive Studies Project; Advisory Council Member at the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University; Advisory Council Member for Development Finance at the Atlantic Council’s Global Tech Security Commission; Dean’s Fellow at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business; and Advisory Board Member at the Center for Energy & Conservation at the Independent Women’s Forum. She is also an Independent Director for Sunlight Financial; was appointed by Gov. Glenn Youngkin to serve on the board of Activation Capital/Virginia Biotech Research Park Authority; and is on the board of Gadsby’s Tavern Museum.
Previously, she represented the United States on the Board of Directors of the World Bank Group, after being confirmed unanimously by the US Senate. Prior to the World Bank, she served as Chief of Staff at the White House Council of Economic Advisers. She was also Chief of Staff for the Economic Studies program at the Brookings Institution; Assistant Secretary at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development; Senior Advisor in the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Gulf Coast Rebuilding; Deputy Chief of Staff at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; and Deputy Assistant Secretary at the US Department of Education. Ms. Nordquist has also worked in the private sector in Thailand, France, and Sweden. She began her career on Capitol Hill, in both the House and Senate.
She holds a BA from Stanford University and an MS from Northwestern University. She received the Distinguished Service Award from US Department of the Treasury and was named Stanford Associate by Board of Governors for outstanding alumni volunteer service. She is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and member of Extraordinary Women on Boards and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
