Opportunity Zones have proven they can move capital and reach communities. More than $112 billion in OZ equity was deployed into the first round of designated census tracts through the end of 2024, and 77 percent of all those census tracts attracted investment. States are now finalizing their selections for the next round of OZs, which will go into effect at the start of the year and last a decade. But designation is only the beginning.
Join the Economic Innovation Group (EIG) on Tuesday, October 6, at 1:00 pm ET for a timely webinar on what comes next—after zone designations.
In a new guide, EIG offers a practical framework for state and local governments, economic development organizations, financial institutions, and community stakeholders to translate their OZ designations into lasting economic impact.
