In this installment of EIG’s Opportunity Zones webinar series, we are discussing the latest on Opportunity Zone investments in operating businesses.

Since Treasury delivered its second set of proposed regulations in April, there has been a significant uptick in interest and activity to support new and growing operating businesses due to the clarity provided. Building upon this momentum to create a vibrant investment ecosystem for entrepreneurs and small businesses is key in actualizing the promise of Opportunity Zones – a bi-partisan policy solution aimed at restoring economic opportunity in distressed communities across the country.

During the webinar, EIG will provide a high-level overview of key issues addressed in the proposed regulations, as well as highlight market activity and the response from local leaders. Additionally, representatives from Polsinelli, The Pearl Fund, and Launch Pad will provide insights from their experiences structuring and managing Qualified Opportunity Funds, becoming a Qualified Opportunity Zone Business, and raising capital.

Register here for the September 24th webinar.

Past webinars, including those featuring on locally-led Opportunity Zones initiatives in heartland, rural and tribal communities, can be viewed on EIG’s website.
