Event Overview

On December 13th, the 21st Century Cures Act was signed into law by President Barack Obama. This bipartisan legislation will significantly increase funding for scientific and medical research, and strengthen the process of translating scientific innovations into life-saving treatments for patients. The 21st Century Cures Act, which was approved by Congress with large bipartisan majorities, was lauded by EIG founder and chairman, Sean Parker, whose Parker Foundation has a strong focus on life sciences and innovative treatment approaches.

The Parker Foundation hosted an event celebrating the bill’s passage into law. Cosponsors of the event included ACT for NIH, Friends of Cancer Research, and Economic Innovation Group. The menu was curated by award-winning chef, Spike Mendelsohn.
