Upstate New York is home to a fiscally diverse group of communities ranging from the very poor and economically unstable to the prosperous and wealthy. Data gathered and aggregated by the Economic Innovation Group, a public policy research operation, maps out the most well-off communities across the entire country by state, county and zip code. Prosperous communities are defined as those with the highest “economic well-being.”
